UVB light promotes the production of vitamin D3 and promotes the absorption of calcium.

Typically, UVB 2.0, 5.0 and 10.0 refer to percentages of 2%, 5% and 10% UVB.

UVB 5.0 is suitable for reptiles living in tropical forests or subtropical regions, such as most tortoises such as star tortoises.

It is recommended to match the UVB light output to the specific needs of reptiles or amphibians.

Suitable for all reptiles with moderate UV requirements in tropical and subtropical regions. UVB (5%) induces the activation of vitamin D3, binds to calcium powder, promotes the conversion of calcium in bone and blood (calcium absorption) UVA (30%) increases appetite, promotes the activity of animals to induce mating behavior.

It is recommended to use in combination with fluorescent lamp UVB2.0.

CFLs emit moderate UVB rays, just like the rays in the shielded environment of a tropical rainforest.
