'Spiky' is an Asian variety, 2-10 cm tall. Best described as the big brother of Christmas moss, it is larger and forms many dark green branching buds. Spiky moss works best on vertical surfaces where branching shoots will emerge. If you plant small tufts in the bottom substrate with small gaps, you may get a nice carpet effect. It grows quickly and thrives in very low light intensity.
