A beautiful and diverse species from West Africa, with leaves ranging from green to reddish-brown with varying numbers of purple spots. Can grow to 20-80 cm tall. Water lilies (zenkeri) form many underwater leaves before forming floating leaves. Trim the roots and leaves if you don't want floating leaves.
Beautiful and fragrant flowers can be fully appreciated in an open aquarium. A nutrient-rich bottom promotes growth. Usually there are red and green. Recommended as a solitary plant for large aquariums.
