This cosmopolitan stem plant is more prone to reddening and is smaller than the famous Ludwigia repens 'Rubin'.
Each stem is 2-4 cm long and 10-30 cm high. Plants willingly produce side shoots, but cutting increases the number and the plants become denser. When planted, truncated shoots quickly produce new roots.
Plants turn a deep red and grow better when exposed to light and carbon dioxide added.
