Hemianthus micranthemoides from North America is an elegant plant whose small, arched leaves make it look like a miniature version of Egeria. It has a characteristic trailing growth in bright light, so it can be used as a foreground plant (stem height 10-20 cm, width 2-3 cm). A compact set of Hemianthus micranthemoides is very pretty with its small, pale green leaves.
In the terrarium, the plants form a compact cushion.
