A very compact variety of Hygrophila corymbosa with leaves close to the stem.

Numerous side branches are formed, enhancing the compact appearance. When the plant leaves the nursery, the leaves are dark brown-green, but after a transition period in the aquarium, they turn pale green and silvery white underneath.

In bright light, the newest leaves may turn reddish-brown, and in dim light, the oldest leaves die after a while. Often new side shoots are formed to replace the old ones.
