The appearance of Littorella uniflora makes it an easily identifiable plant in the aquarium.
It grows wild on lake shores in Europe, North and South America. Tolerates fairly low light intensities, but this increases leaf length.
Each rosette is planted a few centimeters apart. They'll send out runners easily. Over time, a very characteristic fat leaf rug - each 2-5cm long and 0.1-0.3cm wide - will be created. Be careful when maintaining the tank, the leaves are easily damaged.
Littorella uniflora is also suitable for terrariums and garden ponds.
