Originally from India, this plant is very similar to the medium-sized broad-leaved Cryptocoryne. It can be used in aquariums like Cryptocorynes, but requires enough light to develop color.
The leaves are 4-8 cm wide and 6-12 cm long, so the whole plant becomes wider.
Colors range from gray-green with bright purple to reddish-purple usually on the same leaf. New leaves are pale pink.
