Sedge species are widely distributed throughout the tropics, but only a few of them are good underwater plants. Cyanophora from Thailand was the first Cyperus species to be used in aquariums, measuring 20-35 cm high and 15-25 cm wide. The light requirements are relatively large, and it is recommended to add CO2 to promote growth. In aquariums with good water flow, the plants sway beautifully in the current.
