Rotala rotundifolia "green" is also known as Rotala sp. "Green" is a hardy and versatile plant that is often used in the middle and background areas of the aquarium. Native to Southeast Asia, this beautiful stemmed plant is as easy to preserve as the standard form of Rotala rotundifolia.

Fertilizer, carbon dioxide and substrate components are not very demanding; however Rotala rotundifolia "green" prefers direct light. It will grow well in low light compositions, where most of the leaves will remain bright green. However, iron and NO3 should be present to avoid hindering plant growth. Takashi Amano often uses this star-shaped stem plant in his aquarium.
