Each module in the BioPlus filter unit contains a 20 ppi coarse filter foam. An additional chamber on top of the filter unit is filled with activated carbon foam. As an alternative to foam, OASE offers 30 ppi fine foam and fleece foam to customize the top filter chamber. The time to replace the filter foam varies depending on the size of the aquarium, the number of fish and plants, and the decline in filter performance. All BioPlus filter foams are compatible with any BioPlus model.

Each module in the BioPlus filter unit houses a coarse 20 ppi filter foam. An additional chamber at the top of the filter unit houses an activated carbon foam. As replacement foams, OASE offers a 30 ppi fine foam and a fleece foam to customize the top filter chamber. Timing to replace the filter foams varies upon aquarium size, number of fish and plants, and a decline in filter performance. All BioPlus filter foams are compatible with any of the BioPlus models.
