Each module in the BioPlus filter unit houses a coarse 20 ppi filter foam. An additional chamber at the top of the filter unit houses an activated carbon foam. As replacement foams, OASE offers a 30 ppi fine foam and a fleece foam to customize the top filter chamber. Timing to replace the filter foams varies upon aquarium size, number of fish and plants, and a decline in filter performance. All BioPlus filter foams are compatible with any of the BioPlus models.
